The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows School Board this week held a closed session to conduct the superintendent review and evaluation.
In open session, the CGD board approved the fiscal year 2026 superintendent contract with Joe Nelson.
His base salary will be $190,563.98, with an additional K-8 Administration Plan Stipend of $6,436.02, for the total contract of 197-thousand dollars.
Nelson will receive a total of 25 vacation days per year, with unused vacation days paid out by June 30th, with the payout being a maximum of 25 days at the per diem rate.
