This week the Iowa Valley Community College District Board of Directors, in a move to strengthen athletic programs across the district, approved a contract with 1&0 Athletic Consulting for $17,500.
This agreement will facilitate an in-depth assessment of athletics at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls and at Marshalltown Community College, examining programmatic, staffing, financial, and facilities support within the context of the district and the NJCAA league.
The project, funded from the President’s budget, will involve on-campus interviews with administrators and athletes over 4-6 months, culminating in an audit report. This review will also encompass funding models, Title IX compliance, and staffing structures.
The IVCCD board also set July 16th as the date for a public hearing on the plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost for the IVCCD ECC Math and Science Roof Project in Iowa Falls.
