Last week the Ackley City Council approved the name for the non-transport 1st Responder service, as Ackley EMS.
The medical director will be Thomas Waters, and the service director will be Kendall Meyer.
In other business, the Ackley council received two lease options for the Friends of Prairie Bridges Park and the City of Ackley.
Option #1 was $1 rent to the city with the park board paying all expenses at the park.
Option #2 was 10-thousand dollars to the city and the city paying all expenses at the park.
The Prairie Bridges Park Board would prefer the second option for budgeting purposes. Both lease options could have a July 1st effective date. The proposed leases will be presented to the city attorney for review.
