The Alden City Council Monday evening voted to have August 17th as the last day the swimming pool will be open.
The Alden council also discussed several abate nuisance updates, and a few may receive 10-day notices if corrective action is not taken.
One council member, Bob Hoversten, stated the City of Alden sends out over 20 letters every year, and no one is being picked on. He added that when the same issues come up with the same properties, that is when the city becomes impatient.
