KLMJ and KQCR will each experience temporary broadcast outages this week due to scheduled tower lighting upgrades and routine maintenance.
104.9 KLMJ-FM broadcasting will be affected Wednesday, June 18th, starting at 8:00 a.m. Broadcasting on 99 The Wave (98.9 KQCR-FM) will follow on Thursday, June 19th, also starting at 8:00 a.m.
For the safety of the workers, broadcast transmitters must be shut down during this maintenance work. The outages are expected to last 6 to 8 hours, though some work may extend into a second day depending on conditions.
Listeners can still enjoy all regular programming during the outage by streaming online at RadioOnTheGo.com, KLMJ.com, 99TheWave.com, or through the Radio OnThe Go mobile and TV apps.
