An Extreme Heat Watch is in effect for the entire state of Iowa from Saturday afternoon through Sunday evening.
Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of 105 to 110 degrees will be possible during this time.
Heat related illnesses will increase during extreme heat and high humidity events. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors.
