Dike-New Hartford School Board discussed elementary logistical arrangements and more

The Dike-New Hartford School Board met Wednesday.

Superintendent Justin Stockdale informed the board and the public how and why the district has started to engage in conversations around the Preschool-4th grade logistical arrangement. He explained that the conversations held with the Administrative Team and District Leadership Team were driven by the teams’ constant efforts to seek efficiencies and educational improvements within the DNH system as a whole while preparing for ‘what ifs’ that can be driven by peaks and valleys within enrollment. Stockdale emphasized there is no set plan or timeline for any changes to occur, and at this time it is only a discussion that will remain ongoing.

They approved a purchase of computers for the Industrial Technology Building, a new superintendent contract, 2025-2026 handbooks, and several board policies. They selected high quality teacher workforce, supplemental state aid, and safe and secure environment as the IASB legislative priorities.
