The Iowa State Northern Research Farm plans to celebrate its new facility and 95-years with an open house this week on Thursday from 4-7pm.

Angie Rieck-Hinz is an Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Field Agronomist.

“There is an open house that the Northern Research Farm at Kanawha so at 310 South Main, Kanawha where the research farm is, they recently built a brand new extension and research facility up there. They’re going to have an open house, have some field tours. Instead of having a field day this year, it’s open to the public. We’re really quite proud of that facility. We want people to come and see it. We want people to be able to use it. It’s really going to help us expand our extension work and our research at that particular farm. And that research is designed to do things to serve farmers, to problem solve for people. So open house, everybody’s welcome to come. If you can RSVP, that’s great. People can shoot me an email or you shoot a email to literally the word northern,  northernrf@iastate.edu, if you plan to come and we’d love to see have you come and see that facility and see all the great research that Iowa State researchers do to support their Iowa farmers. That would be awesome.”

Again, you can RSVP by sending an email to northernrf@iastate.edu.
