The #1 (1A) Clarksville softball team will play their sixth ranked matchup of the season and will look to remain undefeated in Iowa Star Conference play when they travel to #15 (1A) Riceville on Wednesday.
Clarksville (18-3, 13-0 Iowa Star-North), on the diamond this week, won 5-0 over Janesville on Monday and had their ranked matchup against #10 (2A) Central Springs on Tuesday cancelled. The duo of Paige Kampman with 32 RBIs and Emmalee Manwarren with .522 average lead the bats. Sydney Lovrien pitching has a 1.70 ERA and 121 strikeouts.
Riceville (17-6, 10-3 Iowa Star-North) won 18-2 in four innings at Dunkerton on Monday. Jaylyn Beran leads the Wildcat hitters with 18 RBIs. Lily Fair in the circle has a 2.18 ERA and 84 strikeouts.
The Indians won 9-0 in five innings in their first meeting on May 30.
First pitch is at 6:45 p.m. in Riceville.
