The latest U-S Drought Monitor Report shows that through Tuesday morning, the coverage area for no drought conditions in Iowa stands at over 45 percent, up almost 14 percent from last week.
The coverage area for the abnormally dry category dropped to 46 percent, and the moderate drought category dropped to 8-point-77 percent.
The entire broadcast area is reporting no drought conditions this week.
One year ago, over 80 percent of Iowa was drought free.
