The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows baseball team will return to action for the first time since Monday, as they visit Wright County rival Eagle Grove on Friday.
C-G-D (7-15) will look to halt a three game slide that included a pair of losses to Iowa Falls-Alden on Monday and earn their first win since June 17 against Rockford. Four different Cowboys have driven in at least 10 runs, led by Kolton Hefti with 16 RBI.
Eagle Grove (4-12) last time out fell 8-2 to Bishop Garrigan on Monday. Hayden Schafer and Adrian Whipple lead the Eagles at the plate with seven RBI apiece.
C-G-D won last year’s meeting 6-5.
First pitch will be at 7:30 p.m. at Greenwood Park in Eagle Grove.
