Strong to severe thunderstorms hit the local area Thursday afternoon.
At 2:15pm Thursday, the Alden Fire Department reported branches, trees, and powerlines down in the city due to strong winds.
There was also a report from a trained spotter of a tornado 4 miles south of Corwith after 4pm Thursday.
No injuries were reported.
