
Thursday night the Hampton City Council voted 3-2 on the third and final reading of an ordinance amendment concerning dangerous and vicious animals, however, there were not enough yes votes, so the amendment failed.
In other business, the Hampton council approved the plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of costs for the 2025-26 HMA Street Rehabilitation Program, and then awarded the contract for the work.
The Hampton City Council also approved a request from property owner Juan Bello for privacy fencing near the north side of the new location of the skate park.
