Clarksville Summer Sports Will be at Dunkerton on Monday

The Clarksville baseball team and #2 (1A) Clarksville softball team will play their final Iowa Star Conference game of the season at Dunkerton on Monday. The baseball game will air 104.9 KLMJ.

Clarksville baseball (5-13, 4-11 Iowa Star North), last time out, won 13-0 over Rockford in five innings on Friday. Clarksville continues to work on increasing run production ahead of postseason play by averaging 3.9 per game. Sam Hoodjer leads the team with a .348 avg and Camden Behrends leads the team with 13 RBIs.

Dunkerton (2-12, 2-12 Iowa Star North) fell 16-0 to Don Bosco in their last game on Wednesday, June 25. Aidan Hesse leads the Raiders with eight RBIs. Clarksville rallied for a 7-6 walk off win over the Raiders in their first meeting on June 4.

Pregame coverage on 104.9 KLMJ will begin at 5:45 p.m. followed by the first pitch at 6:00 p.m.

Clarksville softball (20-3, 15-0 Iowa Star North) has won three games in a row, all against Iowa Star Conference opponents, including an 8-1 win over Rockford on Friday. Paige Kampman with a .500 avg has a team leading 36 RBIs. 

Dunkerton (3-17, 3-12 Iowa Star North) will look for their first win since June 19. Melayna Boeschen leads the bats with a .426 avg and 11 RBIs.

Clarksville won 14-1 in five innings over the Raiders in their first meeting on June 4. With a win Clarksville will clinch their ninth straight Iowa Star Conference title. 

First pitch will be at 6:30 p.m. in Dunkerton.
