North Iowa Area Community College will offer a new introductory English as a Second Language class, launching this summer. This free course is designed for individuals at all English skill levels, from beginner to advanced, and will be delivered online to offer greater flexibility and access.
The class will run from July 15 to September 4, with sessions held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-7:30p.m. Classes will meet via Zoom. An orientation session will be scheduled during the week of July 7-11 and can be attended in person or online.
To take part in the class, students will need to have a current email address, access to an electronic device such as a tablet, laptop, or smartphone, and a reliable internet connection. Regular attendance and a willingness to dedicate at least two hours each week to independent study are also expected.
Enrollment is limited to 14 participants, and the deadline to enroll is July 3.
