Butler County Relay for Life is Friday

The 2025 Butler County Relay for Life takes place Friday on the Butler County Fairgrounds in Allison.

The event will be held indoors at the arena on the eastside of the fairgrounds.

Rev. Jamie Thompson, chair of the Butler County Relay for Life, tells RadioOnTheGo News that this year’s fundraising goal is 60-thousand dollars.

“The donations, just being there, we have food vendors, we have walking tacos, we have Colder Q barbecue truck, we have dairy producers, have all, we have snow cones. Some of the teams are having brownies, cookies, anything, chocolate. We have so much activity. have a free kids zone. Go to the American Cancer Society and a great deal of the proceeds go to cancer research, which we are in the midst of fighting for a cure.”

This year’s opening ceremony begins at 6pm, and is scheduled to end at 10:30pm.
