Last week, the Aplington City Council met with Public Works Director Mike Meyer, who spoke about the need to fill in or cover the swimming pool to prevent it from filling with rain water.
This would also negate the need to pay for insurance on the open pool.
The Aplington council tabled action on the pool until more information was available.
In other business, the Aplington City Council received information from Police Chief Matt Lind who discussed fines for nuisances.
After some discussion, the subject was tabled again for next month by the city council.
