The latest Iowa Crop Report from the USDA shows that 5 percent of Iowa’s corn reached the dough stage.
Corn condition rated 1 percent very poor, 2 percent poor, 12 percent fair, 58 percent good and 27 percent excellent.
Soybeans blooming reached 54 percent, 3 days ahead of last year, but equal to the 5-year average.
18 percent of the soybeans were setting pods, 4 days ahead of last year and 3 days ahead of the 5-year average.
Soybean condition rated 1 percent very poor, 2 percent poor, 18 percent fair, 59 percent good, and 20 percent excellent.
