Over 88 percent of Iowa is now drought free.
The latest U-S Drought Monitor Report through Tuesday morning showed the coverage area for abnormally dry conditions dropped to below 10 percent, while only 2-point-22 percent of the state is listed as being in a moderate drought.
Three months ago, about 14 percent of the state was drought free.
One year ago, Iowa was 100 percent drought free.
