Iowa Falls business owner Rocky Damiano has announced his intention to seek the Republican nomination for Iowa Senate District 27, currently held by Republican Annette Sweeney of Alden.
Damiano owns Nimrod Meats in Iowa Falls.
Iowa Senate District 27 covers all of Hardin, Grundy, and Poweshiek Counties, the western portion of Black Hawk County, and most of Tama County.
If there is a Republican Primary, it will be held June 2nd, 2026.
