Last week, the Belmond-Klemme School Board was informed that there is a severe shortage of teachers with the ability to provide driver’s education to students.
The pay rate for last year was $34.50 an hour, and the B-K board approved to increase the pay rate for driver’s education instructors to $35 an hour.
In other business, the B-K board approved the student handbooks, approved a 28-E Sharing Agreement with the West Fork School District for a school social worker position, and approved a Partnership Agreement with Colts Corner Daycare Center in Belmond.
