“It’s incumbent upon us to make sure that the great community we had to grow up in continues to thrive and continues to grow,” says Kuehner. “It’s a way for us to, one, show thanks and two, hopefully inspire people down the road. I can’t do this forever. If somebody down the road wants to take up the mantle and say, hey that was a really good idea we want to continue to do that or do something else like it. I think it’s a good reason for people to come back to remember where they came from and support.”

“It’s just great to be able to have the resources from the generous folks in Hampton, to be able to keep pace and to help out with whatever the need may be for that year. I hope we’re able to maintain the momentum going forward, keep having people come back and keep bringing new people into the fold. We have some groups here this year who haven’t played before. Hopefully they have a good enough time that they’ll want to come back next year and continue to support the cause.”
The amount of funds raised is still being calculated.
