Several agencies were called early Sunday morning to help the Dows Fire Department for the report of a vehicle accident and fire at the NEW Cooperative in Dows.
Dows firefighters were able to put out the fire on the vehicle which had come to rest inside one of the unloading pits at the elevator.
The Belmond Fire Department utilized a winch to remove and upright the vehicle from the pit area.
One person was discovered in the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
