
Thursday, the Hampton City Council will meet in regular session and will consider a resolution regarding a public purpose policy for the expenditure of funds for city employees, elected officials and members of boards and commissions. The resolution documents the public purposes for spending city funds on certain things such as employee recognition items.
In other business, the Hampton City Council will consider an amendment to the residency requirement in the employee handbook, adding that the “city manager is authorized to make exceptions to residency requirements based on individual circumstances and personnel needs.”
The Hampton City Council meets Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at city hall.
