Budget amendment approved by the Franklin Supervisors

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors Monday approved an amendment to the county’s current fiscal year budget.

Total expenditures in the amendment are $3,632,010, total revenues are $2,086,019.60.

In other business, the Franklin supervisors met with the county auditor, recorder, and treasurer, who requested that the employee handbook be amended to include “domestic partners’ or “fiance” be added to the bereavement leave policy.

The supervisors voted to allow Angela Horner, who works in the treasurer’s office, to use up to 5 days of sick time for paid bereavement leave until a policy review has occurred.

If within 30 days the policy is updated, the sick time could be converted to bereavement retroactively.
