
Monday, the Clarksville City Council will continue to discuss a water rate increase. During their meeting July 21st, Mayor Jerald Heuer stated they would look at a large increase in water rates this year and then small increases each of the next few years. Council member Jennifer Kielman suggested a 3% increase in water rates during the July 21st meeting but no action was taken by the council.
In other business, the Clarksville City Council will continue to discuss adding a stop sign at the intersection of Ilgenfritz Avenue and Elizabeth Street and will hold the second reading of an ordinance, amending the chapter on the restricted residency district.
The Clarksville City Council meets Monday at 6:30 p.m. at city hall.
