
An Iowa Falls woman has been cited following a minor theft incident reported Thursday morning. According to Iowa Falls Police, 71-year-old Sherilyn Everman was charged with fifth-degree theft after allegedly taking a lawn spreader and a bag of mulch.
The items were recovered shortly after the incident, and authorities say Everman was not arrested, but was instead cited into court to answer to the charge.
Fifth-degree theft is classified as a simple misdemeanor under Iowa law. It applies to property valued at less than $300. Police have not released any additional details. Everman will be required to appear in court at a later date.
