Wright County Supervisors to Address Public Safety Hire, Drainage Projects Monday

The Wright County Board of Supervisors will meet Monday (Aug. 4) at 9 a.m. in their regular meeting and address several county matters.

Among the top items on the agenda, Communications Director Tiffon Pohlman will present an employment offer for a new Telecommunication Specialist at the Wright County Communications Center. The board will also consider a request from Clarion’s Chamber and Development group to use the courthouse grounds that same day.

Other agenda items include designating voting representatives to the Iowa State Association of Counties, reviewing additional courthouse insurance coverage, and updates from County Engineer Adam Clemons, including seismic testing discussions with AgriVia and a resolution tied to Secondary Roads.

Following the regular meeting, the board will convene as Drainage Trustees, with a 10 a.m. public hearing scheduled on the Joint Drainage District 46-92 annexation and benefits report.
