Grundy Council to Discuss Alley Deeds, Food Vendor Rules Monday

The Grundy Center City Council will meet in regular session Monday. Among agenda items, the council will consider three resolutions, including retrofitting a 2023 Dodge Charger police vehicle and approving property deeds for two alleyways on 6th Street. Updates will also be provided by the Heart of Iowa representative, Jay Duncan.

The council will review requests to close streets and parking spaces for community events. These include weekly Wednesday evening closures of 11th Street for American Lutheran Church activities and permission for South Porch Cider to reserve parking spots for food trucks on four upcoming dates.

Discussion items include updates to ordinances on food vendors and social events, as well as concerns over junk vehicles and race cars within city limits.

Mayor Eberline will also recommend reappointing Ron Dellit to the Library Board for a new six-year term. The Grundy Center City Council meets Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber.
