
The Hardin County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing Wednesday morning on a proposed hog confinement in Hardin Township.
Summit Farms Pork, LLC has applied for a construction permit for what’s listed as the Hardin 32 Site, located in Section 32 of the township. Following the hearing, the board will consider submitting a recommendation on the permit to the Iowa DNR.
The meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the large conference room of the Hardin County Courthouse in Eldora.
Also on the agenda are items related to the Eldora Children’s Center, the Iowa River’s Edge Trail, and a utility permit request from Alliant Energy. Supervisors will also review reports from the Auditor, Recorder, and Sheriff’s departments.
A regular drainage meeting that had been scheduled for 9:30 a.m. has been canceled.
