A Rockwell man has been sentenced to 21 years in federal prison for producing and distributing child pornography.
44-year-old David Bradley Garrison pleaded guilty earlier this year to sexual exploitation of a child and distribution of child pornography. According to federal prosecutors, Garrison recorded a sexually explicit video involving a child in 2021 and distributed pornographic material to others that same year.
Investigators later found thousands of disturbing images and videos on Garrison’s devices, including content involving infants and depictions of child torture and bondage. Authorities say he continued to possess illegal material even after his home was searched by law enforcement in January 2022.
Garrison was sentenced in federal court in Sioux City and must also pay $16,000 in restitution. He’ll serve five years of supervised release following his prison term. There is no parole in the federal system.
The case was part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide effort targeting child exploitation.
Garrison remains in U.S. Marshal custody awaiting transfer to a federal prison.
