Several local softball student-athletes have earned academic all-state recognition by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.

Those selected must be a senior and meet the following criteria:
- Cumulative GPA of 3.85 AND
- ACT score of 27 or higher OR
- Class rank in top 10 percent of class in 3A/4A/5A; top 15 percent of class in 1A/2A
