
The Butler County Sheriff’s Office has issued an arrest warrant for 46-year-old Chriz Hilton Wooten of Parkersburg for failing to register as a sex offender.
Wooten is classified as a Tier 3 offender on the Iowa Sex Offender Registry, the most serious classification. Tier 3 offenders are required to check in quarterly and typically have convictions for violent or repeat offenses.
His current whereabouts are listed as unconfirmed.
Wooten was convicted in 2007 in Black Hawk County for assault with intent to commit sexual abuse involving an adult female. Failure to comply with sex offender registry requirements is a criminal offense under Iowa law.
Wooten is known to use multiple aliases. Anyone with information on Wooten’s location is asked to contact the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
