Aplington-Parkersburg senior Benny Waller has announced his commitment to continue his academic and athletic career at Minnesota State University. He’ll join the golf program for the 2026-2027 school year.
A key contributor to the AP golf team throughout his career, he helped lead the team to a state tournament appearance in 2025. He was the runner-up at the NICL Tournament, posting a 71, the best 18-hole score on the team for the season.
The Mavericks completed last season with a third place finish at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship Meet. They last appeared in an NCAA regional tournament in 2024.
Waller is a participant in football, basketball, golf and baseball at Aplington-Parkersburg and will soon begin his senior year.
