The Hampton-Dumont-CAL girls tennis team will begin its season Tuesday by traveling to Nevada for a North Central Conference dual.
They’re projected to have three returning varsity players. Last season, Yesenia Valenzuela went 4-7 to lead the way among those who played last year. Autumn Janssen and Mattelyn McGuire each gained valuable experience in last season’s matches.
Nevada will play their third dual of the season. They defeated Grundy Center 6-3 and fell to Knoxville 7-2 last week. They’re still searching for their best lineup, having played two entirely different lineups in the first two meets.
It’ll start at 4:30 p.m.
