Despite some close matches, the Hampton-Dumont-CAL girls tennis team was held without a win in a 9-0 defeat at Nevada to begin the season Tuesday.
At #1 doubles, Jade Johnson/Autumn Janssen fell 9-7. Yesi Valenzuela fell 8-6 at #3 singles. The Bulldogs won no more than one game in the other matches.
They’ll return to action Thursday at Aplington-Parkersburg.
