The Allison City Council met Monday night with Mayor Pro Tem Jodi Bangasser presiding in the absence of Mayor Scot Henrichs. During the open forum, a resident raised concerns and asked that the city consider regulating electric bikes. Council members discussed posting reminders that riders must follow the community speed limit.

Butler County Engineer John Riherd was in attendance and presented an amendment to the Butler County Logistics Park Urban Renewal Plan, which adds projects such as the Rolling Prairie Trail, bridge replacement, and grading. Council members want to confirm the change would not affect Allison’s own urban renewal plan before taking action.

In other business, the Allison City Council heard street project updates including removing tree roots from the subbase which will add about $7,000–$8,000 in costs. There was also discussion of a drainage concern on 9th Street.

The Allison City Council also approved new utility billing timelines, set employee wages, and transferred more than $224,000 from the 2015 Lagoon Project fund to capital projects.
