The Meservey City Council on Monday approved a loan agreement for water revenue bonds to help fund ongoing water system improvements. Council members also approved two pay applications for the new well project — one to Cahoy Pump for well construction in the amount of $74,257 and another to JB Holland for the wellhouse in the amount of $27,870. Both were reviewed and recommended by the project engineer.

August bills were approved, with the well project making up the largest expenses. The council also noted a speed sign north of town was knocked down, possibly during county mowing, and repairs are being arranged. Meservey Council members also briefly discussed RAGBRAI profits and possible uses for the funds.
