Thursday afternoon just before 4 p.m. a fire was reported at the Seaboard Foods facility located in the 400 block of Lawler Street in Iowa Falls. Fire Chief Scott Eisentrager tells RadioOnTheGo News the fire was contained to a piece of equipment and no injuries were reported. Eisentrager described the damage as “major,” though the cause has not been determined. Company officials have reported the incident to their insurance provider.
Crews were on scene for about three hours. Responding agencies included Iowa Falls Fire, Iowa Falls Ambulance, Iowa Falls Police, the North Hardin E-Squad, and the Alden Fire Department.
