Drivers across northern, north central, and western Iowa are dealing with very limited visibility this morning. The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory in effect until 9 a.m.
Visibility in some areas is reduced to a quarter mile or less. The advisory covers communities including Mason City, Iowa Falls, Hampton and Waterloo and surrounding areas. The Weather Service cautions motorists to slow down, use headlights, and leave extra space between vehicles while traveling in the fog.
Looking ahead, forecasters say patchy fog could return again Wednesday morning, especially across northern Iowa.
