For the first time since 2019, the Hampton-Dumont-CAL girls tennis team won a dual Tuesday. They defeated Charles City 6-3 at home. It had lost 50 straight duals.
In singles, the Bulldogs got wins by Jade Johnson at #2, Yesi Valenzuela at #3, Autumn Janssen at #4 and Monse Zamorano at #6.
In doubles, Johnson/Valenzuela at #2 and Monse Zamorano/Ruby Zamorano at #3 got the wins to seal the dual.
They’ll return to action Thursday by hosting Clear Lake.
