The 2025 RadioOnTheGo Tractor Ride is this Saturday (Aug. 23). As part of the route the ride will make a stop at the Heartland Museum in Clarion for a lunch break. The museum is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. President of the Board of Directors at the Museum Melody Lager on what riders can look forward to when they stop by.
“We look forward to seeing people. Hopefully they will enjoy the ride and the day. We have plenty of parking around here for them. Nice air conditioned community room for them to have their lunch in. Then they’ve still got time to wander around the museum a bit. We also have another red shed we call it that is a steel building that has about 60 other tractors out there. We’ve got the one room schoolhouse where the 4-H emblem was born.”
The museum also provides visitors with exhibits from early settlement, farming and towns in Wright County from 1850-1950. Lager shares some of the different tractor brands on display.
“I feel like we’ve got a little bit of everything. We have a Porsche tractor, which I get a kick out of, and we’ve got the old Ford. We’ve got a huge Wagner sitting in front of our red shed. We of course have John Deere, Minneapolis Moline, Farmall’s, Alice Chalmers. We can’t wait, looking forward to it.”
