Two longtime members of the Iowa Valley Community College District Board of Directors have been honored for their service. Deborah Jones and Paul W. Pohlson each received the new 15 Years of Service Award during the Community Colleges for Iowa Summer Trustees Conference in Fort Dodge. The award was created this year to recognize trustees with significant tenure.
Jones, who joined the board in 2008, is now in her 17th year of service. Pohlson has served since 2006, giving him nearly two decades of leadership with the district. Both were recognized for their dedication to the district’s mission and for their commitment to students and communities across central Iowa.
The Iowa Valley Community College District includes Marshalltown Community College, Ellsworth Community College, Iowa Valley Grinnell, and Iowa Valley Business and Community Solutions.
