The Hampton-Dumont-CAL girls tennis team fell 8-1 at home to Clear Lake Thursday.
The win was by Yesi Valenzuela, 9-7 at #3 singles. At #1, Mattelyn McGuire fell 8-0. Jade Johnson fell 8-3 at #2 singles. At #4 singles, Autumn Janssen lost 8-0. Monse Zamorano fell 8-3 at #5 singles. Ruby Zamorano finished singles play at #6 with an 8-2 loss.
In doubles, McGuire/Janssen fell 8-1 at #1. At #2, Jonhson/Valenzuela fell 8-4 in the closest doubles match of the day. At #3 doubles, Zamorano/Zamorano fell 8-2.
In their next meet, they’ll be at St. Edmond Tuesday.
