
The Aplington-Parkersburg girls tennis team returned to their winning ways with a 7-2 home win over Waverly-Shell Rock Thursday.
The Falcons won all but #1 singles and #1 doubles. At #2 singles, Jayden Krausman won 8-4. Aubrey Williamson won by the same score at #3 singles. At #4 singles, Holly Haugstad earned an 8-2 win. Kate Livingood at #5 singles won 9-8, including a 7-1 tiebreaker. Kyra Woodley rounded out singles with an 8-6 win at #6. Megan Bruns fell 8-4 at #1.
In doubles, Krausman/Briley Junker fell 8-3 at #1. Williamson/Livingood won 8-3 at #2 doubles, and Haugstad/Mulder won 8-1 at #3 doubles.
AP will return to action Saturday at a tournament hosted by Pella.
