On Sunday afternoon (Aug. 24), the Ackley Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 200 block of Spruce Avenue, about two miles north of the Stockdale Gun Club. Franklin County Sheriff Aaron Dodd tells RadioOnTheGo News the home sustained significant damage. The Ackley Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Bradford and Geneva Fire Departments. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
