As the Labor Day weekend approaches, the LifeServe Blood Center is warning that supplies are critically low. LifeServe Blood Center says some blood types are down to just a few days’ worth of supply across its service area, which includes hospitals in Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Illinois.
LifeServe PR and Marketing Director Tim Paluch says, “If you’ve put off donating blood because it’s been such a busy summer, or been thinking about donating but haven’t gone through with it yet, now is really the time to do it.”
Donors can schedule appointments at any of LifeServe’s 15 donor centers or mobile drives by calling 800-287-4903 or by visiting lifeserve.info/schedule.
