The Hansen Family Hospital Board of Trustees recently met and reviewed leadership changes and facility updates. Amanda Wood announced her resignation from the board after 17 years of service. Kinsey Aldinger will fill the vacant position, and Quinn Hoversten was nominated as the new board chairperson. CEO George Von Mock thanked Wood for her long-standing contributions.
In other business, the board heard that the hospital’s application with the Iowa Pediatric Emergency Assessment and Care Recognition Program has been accepted. This evaluation ensures that the hospital’s pediatric emergency services meet state quality and safety standards. The hospital board also approved a capital request to replace current patient beds with updated models. The new equipment will improve patient safety, infection control, and overall room aesthetics.
Additionally, Hansen Family Hospital was awarded $15,000 for its mammography fund supporting local women’s health initiatives.
