OnTheGoMedia is preparing to host a new version of its Relay for Life Radio-thon this September. In past years, the broadcast has supported the Franklin County Relay for Life, raising more than ten thousand dollars annually with the help of generous matching fund sponsors. This year, with changes to the Franklin County Relay for Life, the effort is expanding to three days—September 9th through the 11th.
Donors will now have the option to designate their gifts to the Franklin County Relay for Life, the Butler County Relay for Life, or make a general contribution to the American Cancer Society. The goal of the broadcast is to raise awareness about cancer prevention, the importance of screenings, and the life-saving value of early detection and research.
The Franklin County Relay for Life itself will be held on Saturday, September 13th at the Franklin Wellness Center in Hampton while the Butler County Relay was held earlier this summer. During the three-day radio-thon, listeners will also hear interviews with local Relay for Life volunteers and others.
