Franklin County Supervisors to Discuss Courthouse Roof, Road Projects

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday morning at the courthouse in Hampton. Among the items on the agenda is a public hearing and possible action related to the county courthouse roof project. Supervisors are expected to consider adopting plans, specifications, and cost estimates, as well as awarding a construction contract.

The board will also hear from County Engineer Jay Waddingham regarding road issues, including a permit for Meservey to detour truck traffic during a water main project, a tile project along 65th Street, and a closure on Quail Avenue for bridge work.

Other business includes a resolution on a county-held tax certificate for the City of Popejoy, and review of a housing trust fund consultation with NIACOG.

The meeting begins at 8:30 Tuesday morning and is open to the public. The meeting can also be seen on the Franklin County Board of Supervisors YouTube page.
